He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Thompson and Pearl Irene Thompson (Helgerson); his brother Donald; and his son Troy. He is survived by: his wife Linda Klocke of Waterville; his daughter Tara Reisinger (Pat) of Waterville; his grandsons, Reese, Isaac and Drake Reisinger; his daughter-in-law Julie Thompson of Waukon; his brother Stan Thompson (Shiho); his sister Nancy Siders (Robert); his nieces and nephews, Misty and Erin; his son Cody of Florida; his pet Tiki; and also Hanna of Oklahoma. He is also survived by many in-laws; nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed attending banquets for Pheasants Forever, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Whitetails Forever; he was always so "lucky" at winning the gun raffles.
