He is survived by: his wife Sandra Mae VandeBerg; his daughters, Deb Schult (Rick) of Ackley, IA, Sherri Davidson (Scott) of Dakota City, NE and Michelle Meyers (Gene) of Ft. Madison, IA; his grandchildren, Blaine Schult (Bryndi), Carlee Buhman (David), Holly Young (Josh), Jake Schult (Lachelle), Megan Gemmill (Nathan), Cora Hinrichs (Darin), Naomi Stewart (Cole), Levi Davidson (Katie), Chelsea Stough (Seth) and Derick Ungs (Kari); and his sister Lois Leffler. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
