It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vergie Lee Duff of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Durant, Iowa, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Brock Alexander and Mentha Lee Montgomery Alexander; her son Tyrone Duff; and her brother Larry Alexander. She is survived by: her husband William Duff of Waterloo; her children, William Duff, Jr. of Waterloo, Tonya Denise James of Calif and Telena Portis (Robert) of Texas; her son-in-law Larry Spillers of Texas; and her siblings, Charles of Waterloo, Gary of Waterloo, James of Waterloo, Terry Alexander of Waterloo, Ora Lee Black (Ben) of Waterloo and Linda Stark of Waterloo. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
