As Vergie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Vergie. Though Vergie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Mallett and Vergie Lee Mallett (Nash); and her sister Judy Wise. She is survived by: her sons, Antonio Hechavarria of Waterloo, Saturno Hechavarria of Frederick and DeMarious Mallett of Cedar Rapids; her siblings, Dorothy Anthony, Gloria Riley of Waterloo, Frederick Mallett Jr. and Wendell Mallett of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Kinnick, Aaliyah Hechavarria and Javien Mallett; and her nephew Rashawn F. Mallett. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
