He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kiple and Arlene Kiple (Lindquist); and his brother Robert Kiple. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Shepard of Waterloo; his son Brock Kiple of Waterloo; and his sisters, Sylvia Rooff of Waterloo and Diane McGee of Muscle Shoals, AL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
