He is survived by: his wife Shirley Snyder August of Waterloo; his children, Jonathan Schell (Danielle) of Sumner, Shannon Carpenter of Mason City and Billie Jo Oldakowski (Jason) of Waterloo; and his siblings, Steve Schell of Cedar Falls, Tom Schell (JoAnn) of Starke, FL, Mike Schell (Tammy) of Cedar Falls, Cindy Nissen (Jim) of Wadena, Sue Wells (Rick) of Waterloo, Staci Jackson of Waterloo and Jacki Underwood (Brian) of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
