He is survived by: his former wife Carol Jean Hoffert; his wife Cindy E. Smock Brace; his children, Michael Staley of North Liberty, IA, Julie Tanay (Jhong) of Independence, IA and Julie Brace Borton (Boyd); his children-in-law, Jeff Aufdencamp of Columbus, OH and Mandy Sullivan (Tom) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Aufdencamp, Kohl Aufdencamp, Hannah Borton, Sam Staley, Lizzie Borton, Aaron Tanay, Jon Borton and Paige Staley; his siblings, Deborah Staley Buchheit of Center Point, IA and Galen Staley (Deann) of New Hampton, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Deb Jarnagin (Tom) of Marysville, WA, DeeAnn Koch (Jim) of Oshkosh, WI, Dean Smock (Deb) of Buena Vista, CO and Kent Smock (Caitlin) of Waterloo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
