He is survived by: his parents, Ronald Dean and Kathleen Anne Walters Gates Sr.; his brothers, Ralph Gates (Deborah) of Ackley, Ryan Graff (Michelle) of Ackley, Gary Gates (Sandy) of Ackley and Travis Roberts of Ackley; and his child Waterloo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
