He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Balvanz and Lois Balvanz (Zeltman); and his brothers, Paul, Gordon and Francis Balvanz.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Balvanz; and his daughter Lois McGrane (Quincy) of Waterloo.
