She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Milton Piehl and Ruth Berg; her adoptive father Roland L. (Elizabeth Rouse Thode); her siblings, Sandy Wright Jacobson (DeWayne), Cindy Piehl (Mark Canfield), Kiana Mathes (Todd Holmes), Ralph Piehl (Saran) and Carol Hoch Nystrom; her sister-in-law Terri Foglesong; and her siblings, Paul Foglesong and Paula Hoch Nollen. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the Waterloo Community Playhouse or the Grout Museum.
