He was predeceased by: his father Merlyn V. Boyken; and his sister Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Boyken. He is survived by: his mother Betty A. Phelps Boyken; his sisters, Barbara Tomlinson (Gary) of Waterloo, Cynthia "Cindy" Hughes (Jim) of Waterloo, Donna Ableidinger (Jay) of Punta Gorda, Linda Boyken of Coralville, Debra Dalluge (John) of Waterloo and Jennifer Holman (Scott) of Waterloo; and his nieces and nephews, Christine Holman, Anthony Holman, Joshua Miller (Janelle), Geoffrey Miller, Sarah Miller, Evan Dalluge, Owen Dalluge and Emily Dalluge.
