He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hood and Opal Hood; his stepson Mike Eiffler; his brother Steven Hood; and his stepsiblings, Robby and Paula.

He is survived by: his family Stan; his wife Micki Hood; his children, Shelly Hood, Stanley "Buddy" Hood II and Cody Hood; his stepchildren, Marty Eiffler and Pam Nichols; and his siblings, Connie Diamond (Don), Kathy Johnson (Ron), Jeff Hood (Tammy), Jim Hood and Lisa Dean (Steve). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
