It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shirley Geist of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 95, on December 12, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Shirley farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Shirley is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McElroy and Pauline McElroy; her husband Jack; her daughter Laurie; her grandson Ryan; and her sister Carole.
She is survived by: her son Greg Geist (Lyn) of Oro Valley, AZ; and her grandsons, Matt and Jack.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Reformed Church (520 Maxwell St, Waterloo, IA 50701).
