Shanda Marie Armstrong Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shanda Marie Armstrong (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on March 28, 2025 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Casey Joe Hanesford; her grandparents, Doris Schmitt, Donald and Deloris Hanesford; and her niece Kennedy.

She is survived by: her parents, Jeffrey Schmitt of Waterloo and Barbara Bruno (Hanesford) of Waterloo; her husband Kerry Armstrong of Waterloo; her stepchildren, Monique O'Donnell (Brandon) of Waterloo and Nick Armstrong of Waterloo; her siblings, Josh Hanesford (Michelle) of Waterloo, Tiffanie Bruno of Waterloo, Rachael Bruno (Eric) of Gilbertville and Sara Bruno (Justin) of Waterloo; her stepgranddaughter Savannah O'Donnell; and her nieces and nephews, Alyvia, Karter, Kash, Brooklin, Jayce and Camrin.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories (965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, IA 50701). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Parrott and Wood (965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, IA 50701). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1301 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50702).
