He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Pearl Gillen; his spouse Laurene Mae Dally August; his children, Steve Gillen (Jane), Waterloo, Dan Gillen (Lacinda) of Marshalltown, Sandlin Gillen (Joy) of Longview, Tim Gillen (Patty) of Lakewood Ranch, FL and Sheryl Moser of Racine; his grandchildren, Renée Gillen, Blake Gillen, Laura Hughes (Scott), Brett Gillen, Matt Gillen, Zach Jacobson (Derek), Christina Gillen, Alyssa Gillen, Carrie Minikus (Jason), Mike Lentzkow (Ashley) and Tom Lentzkow (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Kylee Hughes, Levi, Layna, Lakin Jacobson, Ella, Rhiya, Ezra Minikus, Hunter, Tanner, Drake Lentzkow, Hudson Lentzkow, Barrett Lentzkow and Beckett Gillen; his daughter Debra Lentzkow; and his sons-in-law, Lloyd Lentzkow and John Moser.
