He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred J. and Edna Zeilinger Lompe, Sr.; his siblings, Marlys Towne, Roberta Kinsdahl, Gloria Jean Lompe, Alfred Lompe, Jr. and Richard Lompe; and his niece Pamela Smith (Towne).
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Betty Lompe of Waterloo and Doris Lompe of Jesup; and his close friend Linda Davis of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
