We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2021, at the age of 90, Roger Wiltgen of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Ossian, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonzo Wiltgen and Amelia Wiltgen (Harold); his wives, Dorothy Tepesch and Charlotte Hillman; and his siblings, Guy Wiltgen and Joan Schwade.

He is survived by: his children, Glenn Wiltgen of Waterloo, Denise Taylor (Ross) of Iowa City and Carla Bigelow of Coralville; his grandchildren, Brandon Bracelin, Matthew Bracelin, Ryan Bracelin (April), Anna Owen (Paul), Grant Bigelow, Gavin Bigelow, Jennifer Stangl (Matt) and Nicholas Wiltgen (Ellie); his sisters, Judy Klaise, Katie Strub and Dawn Haugen; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Wepler, Bernadette Lawlor and Jane Tepesch.

Due to state and federal guidelines on gatherings regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is required. Those in attendance are required to wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice in Cedar Falls, IA.

One time I asked him how he came to be so sweet and he told me it was because, out of all of his sibling, his Mom loved him the most. What a character, always trying to make me laugh.
