He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Gerholdt and Helena Gerholdt (Fredericks); his son Dennis; his brother Floyd; his grandson Colton Gerholdt; and his son-in-law Michael Howard.
He is survived by: his former spouse Dorryne Sjoberg; his wife Dixie Dalluge; his children, Jon (Deanna), Steve (Renate), Todd (Jaci), Kevin (Susan) and Julie Howard; his stepchildren, James Dalluge (Rebecca), John Dalluge (Debra), Paul Dalluge (Cam-Tu), Jennie Ganzer (Bruce) and Myrtle Nelson (Lonny); and his sisters-in-law, Myrtle Christensen and Diane Gerholdt. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
