He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Higgins of Waterloo; his children, Mary Jo Kavalier (Rodney) of Traer, Holly Higgins (Alan Chadwick) of Mexico City, Rebecca Overton (Stacey) of Edmond, OK and Mark Higgins (Sarah) of Boulder, CO; his grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Kristin, Sean, Alexander, Catherine, Lauren, Matthew, Ethan and Anna; his great grandchildren, Ames and Elizabeth; and his sister Mary Mixdorf of Iowa City.
