She was predeceased by: her parents, James Haines and Dorothy Haines (Potter); her husband Wayne Brissette; and her siblings, James Haines and Betty Becker.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard "Rick" Brissette (Julie Kaefring) of Kalona and David Brissette (Amy) of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Justin Brissette of Waterloo, Sarah Howard (Ashley) of Waterloo, Nicole Becker (Scott) of Portland, OR, Kaley Brissette (Justin Anderlik) of Cedar Falls and Julie Brissette of Ames; and her sister Doris Raatz (Jim) of Waterloo. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
