He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Reed and Olabelle Reed; his sister Paula Reed Dorris; and his aunts and uncles, Cecil, Charles, Stanley Reed, Verna Mae, Corina Reed Carter, Yvonne Reed Denton, Helen Reed Robinson, Vernon, Frank, Dr. William Reed, Mary Frances Reed Garrison and Monroe Reed.
He is survived by: his daughter Nina Easterling of Dixmoor, IL; his sister Adrienne Reed of St. Paul, MN; his nieces and nephews, Jason Dorris (Chantrice) of Atlanta, Carlin Dorris (Jordaya) of Chicago, Ashley Dorris of North Carolina and Keaton Reed of Minneapolis, MN; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Imani, Zoey, Jason Edward Gold, Carlin Jr. and Jurnee Dorris; and his uncles, James of Waterloo and Lee Dennis Reed of Waterloo.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Antioch Baptist Church (426 Sumner St, Waterloo, IA 50703).
