He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Gebhardt and Goldie Gebhardt (Bidwell); his spouse Shirley A. Rewerts; his son Richard Ray Gebhardt; and his siblings, Ernie Gebhardt, Dorothy Cheney and Helen Darter.

He is survived by: his brothers, Leonard Gebhardt (Peggy) of Cedar Falls and Kenny Gebhardt of Great Falls, MT. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Care Initiatives Hospice.
