He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Frizell, Sr. (Deedie) and Josephine Rodgers; his daughter Connie Broady; and his siblings, Sylvester Jr. Frizell, Johnie Frizell, Frank Frizell, Isaiah Frizell, David Frizell, Lizzie Hurt, Jessie Frizell, Maxine Jones and Amy Mae Cobbins.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Lou Montgomery; his caregiver Queen; his children, Angela Jones (Darnell) of Waterloo, Iowa, Donita Starks (Terry) of Waterloo, Iowa, Eddie, Marvin Frizell and Ricky Robinson; and his brothers, Ira Frizell (Bonnie) of Waterloo, Iowa and Sammie Frizell (Ruthie) of Waterloo, Iowa.
