He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl F. Derified and Stella Derified (Brey); his daughter Kimberly Marie Michelsen; his parents-in-law, Harold and Melba Wilson; his sisters-in-law, Velma Horn and Elenora Gallmeyer; and his niece Jodi Derifield-Betts.

He is survived by: his wife Judy L. Wilson; his daughter Colleen Barna (Terry); his grandchildren, Michael Borwig (Amy), Caitlin Mostek (Matt) and Anna Marie Michelsen (Austin Toebe); his great grandchildren, Emmy, Lexy Borwig, Lainey Mae, Greyson Michael Mostek and Harrison Ray Toebe; his siblings, Roxie LaFontaine (Andy) and Gary Derifield (Carolyn); and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Feldpouch (Pat), Alton Horn and Bernard Gallmeyer.
