He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Potratz and Alice Potratz (Downing); his brothers, Randall and Roy Potratz; and his siblings-in-law, Linda, Jean, Charlie Eickhoff and Ken Oelrich.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Potratz, Russell Potratz (Glenda) of Cedar Falls, Laurel Eickhoff of Kansas City and Loyce Oelrich of Fayette. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
