He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Karl; his children, Brad Kuriger (Katrin) of Waterloo, Vickie Bone (Jim) of Monticello, Tammie Fairbanks (Dean) of Evansdale and Jeannette Cunningham (Dennis) of Wesley Chapel; his sister Betty Wendt of New Hampton; his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Lofredo of Ames, Minetta Jones of Waverly, Carol Kuriger of Evansdale, Ellen Kuriger of Brandon and Raymond "Sonny" Scoles of Waterloo; his wife Thelma; his children, Phil Jr. "Butch" Kuriger and Debbie Turner; his parent Racheal; and his siblings, Mildred Hansen, Rosemary Jenkins, Margaret Scoles, Raymond Kuriger, Paul Kuriger, Terry Wiley and Florence Sherbon. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
