He is survived by: his wife Nancy White; his sons, Russell Lawless (Pam) of Waterloo and Dan Lawless (Ann) of Independence; his siblings, Linda Hickman of Evansdale, Jeff Lawless (Pam) of Waterloo and Skeets Lawless (Mary) of Cumming, GA; his grandchildren, Amber Jaquith (Brock) of Cedar Falls, Bradley Lawless of Waterloo, Allyson Covington (Alex) of Cedar Rapids, Tyler Hare (Jessica) of Waterloo, Mark Lawless (Madison) of Quasqueton, Melyssa Albert (Derek) of Quasqueton, Myrissa Lawless of Waterloo and Kassandra Lawless of Waterloo; and his great grandchildren, Dallas, Carter, Victoria, Brody, Isabella, Korbin, Gracie Jo, Addie Mae, Easton Daniel, Jaxon, Autumn Ray and Bristol.
