He was predeceased by: his parents, Royden Jaehrling and Florence Jaehrling (Elgas); his siblings, Lanore Lamprecht and Walter Jaehrling; and his daughter Jan "Missy" Jaehrling.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene McDonald; his children, Joan Kuper (T. J.) of Florissant, MO, Jeffrey (Annette) of Nevada, IA, Patrick (Debra) of Clarksville, TN and Matthew (Shirley) of Aurora, IL; and his siblings, Michele Jaehrling of Cedar Rapids, IA, Mary Leppert (George) of Morristown, MN and John (Pat) of Tigard, OR. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
