He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Gilles and Anna Seibert Gilles; his wife Gertrude of Waterloo; his children, Don Gilles of Lime Springs, Randy Gilles, Gary Gilles of Raymond, Curt Gilles (Chris), Doug Gilles of Waterloo, Joyce Dunn (Dave) of Waterloo and Jayne Gulden of Waterloo; and his siblings, Wilfred, Wilmer, Reuben, Vernon, Danny, Marian, Theresa, Elizabeth and Adeline. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or UnityPoint Hospice.
