He is survived by: his wife Marsha Jonte of Waterloo; his sons, Kenneth Tovar (Marie) of Waterloo, Corey Tovar (Karina) of Cottonwood and Ariz; his grandchildren, Evan, Megan and Darby Tovar; and his siblings, Manuel Tovar of Salem, Ore, Bernadine "Banner" Duenas of Waterloo, Mary Coughron of Waterloo and John Tovar, Jr. (Daniel Tovar) of Cedar Falls.
