He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cooper and Aldi Cooper (Rathbun); his wife Nancy (Williams); and his sons, Rocky Copper, Mark and Matthew Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, Vivian Lowe of Grundy Center, Tom Cooper (Tami) of Evansdale and Jeff Cooper (Julie) of Cedar Falls; and his siblings, Sadie Holms, Debbie Barnes of Vinton and Bill Cooper of Lisbon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
