He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Fliss and Lillian Bahl Fliss; his daughter Teri Fliss Schall; and his sisters, Geraldine Denny (Gary), Karen Poppe (Gary) and Mary Ann Fliss.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary; his grandchildren, Samantha, Jesse, Derrick, Krystal and Thad; his son-in-law A. J. Schall, Sr. of Newark, DE; his grandsons, A. J., Jr. and Nathan; his brothers, Ronald Fliss of Cedar Falls, Robert Fliss (Pam) of Tucson, AZ and Michael Fliss (Harriet) of Spirit Lake; and his close friend Mary Ann Resigner of Waterloo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
