With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Milton J. Dakovich of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on February 24, 2022 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Dakovich (Baschnagel); his father-in-law James Youngblut; and his brother-in-law Dan Flaharty. He is survived by: his father Dr. Milton J. Dakovich; his wife Kimberly Shatzer of Waterloo; his children, Austin Shatzer (Kelly) of Chicago, IL, Chancellor Dakovich and Brigette Dakovich of Waterloo; his siblings, Bob Dakovich (Shannon) of Waukesha, WI and Ann Pigneri (Rocco) of Louisville, KY; his mother-in-law Lenora Youngblut; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Youngblut (Donna), Chad Youngblut (Holly), Lisa Schmit (Alfred) of Jesup, IA and Tracy Flaharty of Jesup, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to St. Edward Catholic Church, Cedar Valley Catholic Schools, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank or directly to the family to be distributed among other favorite organizations.
