He was predeceased by: his wife Della Viola Richardson; his daughter Patricia Hansen; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Hartley and Dawn Hansen; his great grandchildren, Thomas and Joseph Hansen; and his siblings, Charles Hartley and Muriel Vierow.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Eighmey (Rina) of Mount Juliet, TN, William Hartley, Michele Wilson (Mark) of Evansdale and Cynthia Holloway; his grandchildren, Amber, Chad, Michael B., Melissa, Stacie, Darcie, Brooke, Ashley, Dannielle and Harley (Michael E.); and his siblings, Mary Alice Hansen of Bishop, TX, Lawrence Hartley (Leann) of Ft. Dodge and John Hartley (Ardy) of New Nuevo, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
