She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Watson and Margaret Belo Watson; her stepfather Maurice Wolf; her children, Michael Gruver and Dena "DeDe" Brandt; and her siblings, Leroy "Lee" Watson, Norbert Wolf, Joseph Wolf, Jeri Abernathy and Joan Lamphier.

She is survived by: her former spouse Othel Dean Gruver; her children, Kendall of Waterloo, Karry Gruver of Waterloo and Betty Gruver of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Lindsey Gruver of Waterloo, Haley Gruver of Waterloo, Justin Brandt (Cesli) of Waterloo and Cory Brandt of Waterloo; her great grandchildren, Craig Jr., Acree Bennett, Cohel Gruver, Landen, Jace Dean, Calayah, Camille and Jensen Brandt; and her brother Allen Watson of Central Springs.
