She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Happel and LaVera Hagenow Happel; and her brother-in-law Glenn Wehrkamp. She is survived by: her spouse Hilbert "Butch" Mixdorf; her children, Denise Ryan (Mark) and Chad Mixdorf (Denise); her grandchildren, Katelyn Croy (Bruce), Hiawatha and David Ryan; and her siblings, Rita Frey (Dean), Yvonne Wehrkamp, Glenda Slack, Cheryl Bergman (Rod), Charles Happel (Jane), Don Happel (Donna), Robert Happel (Margaret) and Richard Happel (Nancy).
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, St. John's Lutheran Church Bennington Township, Friendship Village Foundation, or a charity of donor's choice.
