With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Allen Cornwell of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Waverly, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2024 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Mark may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mark touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" H. Cornwell and Joyce Y. Cornwell (Stocks). He is survived by: his children, Kayla Morris (Travis) of Independence, IA, Kassandra Cornwell of Brandon, IA and Bryan Cornwell (Malloreigh Winters) of Calmar, IA; his grandchildren, Natalie Casey, Nyoko Halligan and Zachary Petersen; and his siblings, Mike Cornwell of Independence, IA, Vern Cornwell (Linda) of Independence, IA and Dawn Ragsdale (Stacy) of Clarksville, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
