He is survived by: his wife Sandra Schmidt of Waterloo; his children, Dave Distler (Vikki) of Denver, Dan Distler (Melanie) of Jesup, Dawn Scribner (Tim) of Dunkerton and Denise Howard (Lester) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Dillon Distler (Hannah), Allison Distler, Mark Scribner (Rachel), Cassandra Rozanske (Joe), Austin Scribner (Stephanie), Tyler Scribner (Kayla), Isabelle Distler, Grace Distler, Stella Distler and Ashley Howard (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mason Scribner, Zofia Rozanske, Jaycee, Max and Lincoln Howard; and his siblings, Raymond Distler (Mary) of Raymond, Tom Distler (Nancy) of Solon, Suzanne Sankey (Gary) of Cedar Falls, Jane Dallenbach of Waterloo and Chris McGraw (Mark) of Clinton.
