It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Lee Butler of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on August 29, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Walters and Arvilla Walters (Cline); her husband James R. Butler; her sisters, Helen, Vera, Liz and Veda; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Wente, Jeremy and Joshua Decker.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Mortimer (Craig) of Waterloo, Janet Wente (Larry) of Katy, Michael Butler (Susan) of Grimes, Linda Decker (Craig) of Winthrop and John Butler (Deb Gibson) of Denver; and her sister-in-law Joan Walters. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
