She was predeceased by: her parents, Keith Williams and Cecelia Williams (Mayer); her husband Richard McDermott; and her siblings, Steve Williams and JoAnn Slickers.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Maxcy (Dan) of Johnston and Kristee Kuenstling (Kim) of Dysart; her granddaughter Katie Walsh (River) of Johnston; her great grandchildren, Lachlan and Isla Walsh; and her siblings, Tom Williams of Cedar Falls, Mike Meinders (Patti) of Waterloo, Robert Williams of Polson, MT and Tami Jahner (Jim) of Kalispell, MT..
