He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Butikofer and Winnifred Lantz Butikofer; and his siblings, Ardis Hill and Eugene Butikofer. He is survived by: his wife Osa J. Hill of Waterloo; his children, Lyle L. (Lisa) of Fort Gibson, OK, Mark (Pat) of Springfield, MO, Steve (Kristi) of Waterloo, Kevin (Tammy) of Waterloo and Linda Mummelthie (Steve) of Evansdale; his grandchildren, Niki Annis (Sam), Ursula Duncan, Joey Butikofer, Olivia Butikofer, Jenny Rothlein, Stacy Wilson, David E. Wilson (Makayla), Jaime Berry and Ben Butikofer; his stepgrandchildren, John Loomis, Jim Trower, Malasia Ray, Chad Sohn, Mindy Wilson, Melainie Payne, Michelle Allen, Brandy Lyda and Stephanie Hall; and his sisters, Geraldine Frieden of Elgin and Marlene Butikofer of Waterloo. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; seventeen step great grandchildren.
