It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Gardner (Waterloo, Iowa), born in Rosedale, Mississippi, who passed away on June 16, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshal King and Lucy Johnson; her children, Joyce, Yvonne, Celess, Nelson and Lacy; and her siblings, Lloyd Johnson, Tommie Johnson, Jasper Johnson, Kate Solomon, Viola Wash, Gertrude Shaw and Ella Gregory.
She is survived by: her spouse Henry Gardner; her daughters, Celita Payne (Darryl) of Waterloo, Shelia of Waterloo, Butler of Waterloo and Marilyn Woods of Waterloo; and her sisters, Eloise Vance of Chicago, Lena Johnson of Chicago and Juanita Hicks of Chicago. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
