He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis A. Hagarty and Delma Dugan Hagarty; his siblings, Paul Hagarty, Joseph Hagarty, Carolyn Kohl (Bruce), Ruth Hunt (Art), Geraldine "Gerri" Lynch and Theresa Rose Hagarty; his brothers-in-law, James Cory, Edwin "Bud" Hanson and Stephen Ackroyd; his nephews, Douglas Hunt, Eric Hagarty, Jason Hagarty, Douglas Cory and Greg Biggar; and his great-niece Morgan Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Holscher of Waterloo; his children, Louis W. Hagarty (Tammy) of Waterloo, Katie Hagarty of Cedar Rapids and Bridgette Barich (Michael) of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hagarty, Alexis Folkerts, Ava, Gavin Linn, Jacob and Aidan Barich; his siblings, Robert Hagarty (Diane) of Newton, Thomas Hagarty (Amy) of Charles City, Lavonne Biggar (Curt) of Appleton, WI, Judy Olejniczak (Don) of Charles City, Jane Offerman (Tom) of Charles City and Jean Holscher (Bill) of Ankeny; and his siblings-in-law, Jolene Hagarty of Charles City, Rosalie Hagarty of Bellevue, NE, Roseann Cory of Cedar Falls, Diane Hanson of Cedar Falls, Carla Aykroyd of Cedar Falls and Craig Lynch of Charles City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service (400 South St, Waterloo, IA 50701). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (1423 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701).
