She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Garmager; her brothers, Marshall Swanson of Rockford and William Swanson of Brookfield; and her grandson Andrew Larson of Iowa City. She is survived by: her children, Kristine Larson (Dale) of North Liberty, Scott Garmager (Jackie) of Cedar Falls and Dr. Kirk Garmager (Ann) of Coralville; her grandchildren, Aaron Larson, Jill Janeck of Chicago, Allison Garmager of Des Moines, Eli and Asih Asikin-Garmager of Iowa City; her great grandchild Dylan; her grandchildren, Kimberly and Garrett Burrier; her great grandchildren, Sydney and Saydie; her grandchildren, Krista Larson of Dakar and Senegal; her great grandchildren, Abibatu, Kumba and Adama; her grandchildren, Lauren Garmager of Coralville, Melissa Garmager and Drew Mettille of Urbandale; and her great grandchildren, Theo, Lucy, Seth and Taren Garmager of Waterloo. She is also survived by her daughter and two sons, but a beloved grandmother who was adored by her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, anyone attending the service or visitation will be required to wear masks, at the request of the family.
