He was predeceased by: his parents, John Toomsen and Leona Schultz Toomsen; and his brother-in-law Joe Rea. He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Foster; his daughters, Sheri Jelinek (Travis) of North Liberty and Teresa Toomsen; his grandchildren, Hayleigh Jelinek of Marion, Nathanial Jelinek of Milwaukee, WI, Jordan Toomsen, Jadelyn Elliott, Jayce Elliott, Sadie and Kinsley Crisman; his great grandchildren, Dalus and Gracee Jelinek; his siblings, Gary Toomsen (Linda) of Cedar Rapids, Janis Rea of Alvin, TX and Arlene Barkey (Barry) of Knoxville; and also Parrot (Tootie).
