It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Osness (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Boller (Bess) and Ruth Boller (Holtman); her husband John; and her siblings, Dorothy Brumble, Ruth Jay, Richard, Paul and Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Nick Osness (Maura) of Ames, Randi May (Bob) of Jesup and April Osness of Waterloo; her granddaughter Carrie May of Mooresville, NC; her children, Amanda Aruani (Marcelo) of Iowa City, Michael May, Maggie Hoffa (Jon) of Frisco, Texas, Ben Noland (Rachel) of Ames and Meira Osness of Ames; and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Carson, Ruth, Emma, Abraham, Henry, Luciana, Juliet and Marley.
Memorials in lieu of flowers: may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church, Cedar Bend Humane Society, C & W Rustic Hollow Shelter for cats in Nashua, Iowa or The Nature Conservancy.
