It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Jean Nelson of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mads Gerholdt and Inez Gerholdt (Crangle); her husband Donald M. Nelson; and her siblings, Carl Gerholdt and Rose Anne Ridder.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Gleiter (Wayne) of Waterloo, Larry Nelson of Waterloo, Lori Nelson of Waterloo and Dan Nelson (Connie) of Waterloo; her stepdaughter Marie Nelson of Northfield, MN; her grandchildren, Derek Gleiter (Carrie), Andria Perry, Leslie Forrest (Aaron), Christy Nelson, Samantha Kemmerer (Chris), Dain Gleiter, Joshua Nelson (Sarah) and Nicole Nelson; her great grandchildren, Eric Gleiter, Riley Gleiter, Carter Gleiter, Kammie Hoeck, Xander Forrest, Seth Weaver, Scott Gleiter, Maxwell Forrest, Payton Helman, Graydon Tucker, Weston Nelson, Kinnick Kemmerer and Jaxson Gleiter; and her brother James Gerholdt (Marilyn) of Evansdale, IA..
