She was predeceased by: her parents, Oma Fay (Ratliff) and Lloyd Schmidt; and her brothers, John Schmidt and Jimmie Schmidt. She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Pamela Schmidt of Janesville, IA and Carol Schmidt of Scottsdale, AZ; her nephew Brock Schmidt of New Hampton, IA; her niece Laurinda Karston (Schmidt) of Chicago, IL; her aunts, Beverly Schmidt of Waverly, IA and JoAnn Sells of Clear Lake, WI.; and also, Addison Schmidt, Evelyn Schmidt, Isaac Karston and Jude Karston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
