He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Jeff Knief (Patty) of Waterloo, Randy Knief of Ames and Sharon Rasmussen (Mark) of Ames; his grandchildren, Kristin Franklin of Washington, Michael Franklin of Madison, WI and Kelsey Carlson (Henry) of Hudson; and his brother Verlyn Knief of Waverly.
