He was predeceased by: his parents, August Drewes and Clara Drewes (Bochaus); his wife Connie Ann Brody; his sisters, Luella Mohr (George) and Bernita Lauterbach (Ait); and also, Wilbert, Garold and Ronald Drewes.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Anderson (Rick) of Waterloo, Larry Drewes (Sara) of El Paso, Deb Drewes of Waterloo and Bonnie Robinson (Jim) of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren, Jessica Turner (Zach), Bryce Anderson (Kristin), Chelsea Faucher (Adam), Anna Martinez (Nick), Andrew Drewes (Brittney), Joshua Drewes (Isabela), Isaac Drewes, Cossette Wiederhold (Jon) and Gwen Robinson; and his sisters-in-law, Maria Drewes and Ila Drewes. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church, Cedar Valley Hospice, or to the family.
